Payment Options

  • By Mail: Please make check payable to the "Recorder of Deeds Department.”
  • Point of Sale (Recording Office): Fees may be paid by cash, check, debit card or credit card. If a debit or credit card is utilized there is a 2.75% merchant processing fee on the entire transaction.

Recording Fee Distribution

The standard recording fee is $23 for the first page and $3 for each additional page.
  • $8 goes to the State of Missouri
    • $1 Secretary of State Local Preservation Fund
    • $1 State Surveyor Fund
    • $3 State Housing Trust Fund
    • $3 State Statutory County Recorder's Fund
  • $15 stays with Jackson County
