Compliance Review Office

The Compliance Review Office tracks and reviews contracts throughout the contract life cycle to ensure compliance in each phase—from solicitation development through contract completion. Particular attention is paid to the areas of M/W/VBE utilization, payment of prevailing wage, and equal opportunity employment. In addition, expenditures on Outside Agencies and non-competitively bid contracts are monitored by the Compliance Review Office.

Certificate of Compliance 

A Jackson County Certificate of Compliance is required of all businesses and individuals wishing to do business with the County.

Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Program

Chapter 6 of the Jackson County Code provides for the establishing of a program to diversify and expand subcontracting opportunities for minority-owned (MBE) and woman-owned (WBE) companies on Jackson County contracts.

 Prevailing Wage

The CRO is also responsible for all prevailing wage issues on county-funded projects. Payroll review and on-site visits are done to make sure companies are complying with prevailing wage guidelines of the State of Missouri as well as Chapter 19 of the County Code.
