Megan Marshall is a 20-year Marine veteran. A native Chicagoan, Megan moved to Lee's Summit in 2018 to fulfill her final military assignment at Combat Logistics Regiment 4 in Kansas City, MO. Megan earned her business administration degree and Master of Public Administration during her military service.
Experience
Megan is a third-generation military service member. She achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Megan was deployed to Central America as part of the Special Marine Air Ground Task Force and led critical crisis response efforts in Honduras, Belize, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Megan participated in ongoing humanitarian efforts to train local military forces, provide mentorship to girls victimized by violence and rebuild schools destroyed by drug cartels.
Public Service & Community Involvement
Megan retired from the Marine Corps in 2020 and was elected to Lee's Summit Board of Education that same year. She served as board vice president from 2021-2022 and earned advanced and master board member certifications from the Missouri School Boards Association. Megan served as vice president of Lee's Summit Cares from 2021-2023. She is an active member of the Non-Commissioned Officer Association and NAACP.
Family
Megan is the proud mother of two daughters.
