Walktober 2025

Published on September 12, 2025

Celebrate the beauty of fall by walking a different trail every Sunday in October. With crisp air, vibrant colors, and scenic views, it’s the perfect time to get outside and get moving. Each week showcases a new trail, highlighting autumn’s most spectacular landscapes while encouraging healthy, active living.

Leashed dogs are welcome to join the fun. The first 200 participants at each location will receive a commemorative Walktober button designed by artist Alex Hamil—collect all four by attending every event!

Walktober 2025 begins October 5, with Berkley Riverfront, then on to Longview Lake, Hodge Park and finally Kaw Point. Plein Air Quick Paint Contests are planned for Berkley Riverfront Park, Longview Lake and Hodge Park.

All events are free and open to the public.
