Celebrate the beauty of fall by walking a different trail every Sunday in October. With crisp air, vibrant colors, and scenic views, it’s the perfect time to get outside and get moving. Each week showcases a new trail, highlighting autumn’s most spectacular landscapes while encouraging healthy, active living.
Leashed dogs are welcome to join the fun. The first 200 participants at each location will receive a commemorative Walktober button designed by artist Alex Hamil—collect all four by attending every event!
Kaw Point is located in the center of metropolitan Kansas City with a great view of downtown, but the Point itself remains in a natural state with beautiful wooded trails, wildflowers, and wildlife. Located along the river, the park has access to highways, the Lewis and Clark Heritage Trail, and two great rivers. This accessible park has an infrastructure to support a large number of visitors, and has an outdoor amphitheater equipped with electricity for performing arts and special events.
