The Jackson County Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department manages, maintains, and integrates geospatial data, applications, services, and system architecture that support county department operations as well as public engagement. 

Department Services

Solutions Engineering

Creates and manages applications, services and workflows across the county to improve efficiency, collaboration and transparency. These services include:

  • Creating and maintaining applications and services that integrate with external and internal systems
  • Optimizing county workflows
  • Creating and maintaining public transparency applications and tools

 

Field Operations

Collects and publishes geospatial field data into maps, dashboards, and internal systems. Collaborates with other departments for drone-based data collection and mobile workflows. These services include:

  • Field data collection
  • Mobile forms & field work automation
  • Indoor Mapping

 

Land Records Management

Implements, integrates, and maintains the county’s parcel system to enable accurate and reliable land records management within the Assessment Department. These services include:

  • Parcel system administration
  • Workflow optimization
  • User support

 

System Administration

Manages and maintains the county’s ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments to ensure a secure and reliable system. These services include:

  • System optimization and maintenance
  • System security and compliance
  • Data services for system integration

 

Parcel Viewer
Parcel Viewer is a public map for the Assessment Department’s real property parcels and the property information.
