Safety and Security

Join the MARC Emergency Services team on Wednesday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lenexa Justice Center Auditorium (17371 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, KS 66219) for a Special Events Safety and Security Forum. This event will highlight best practices, available planning tools and current coordination efforts for large events, including the World Cup. Who should attend: public safety professionals and partners involved in special events, including fire, law enforcement, EMS, emergency management, codes officials, public works, parks and recreation, and community event organizers.

The MARC regional 911 system is expanding translation services, helping ensure telecommunicators across the metro can provide timely responses to visitors from around the world. Technology to provide live call transcription services is being deployed across the network and new geospatial routing technology ensures accurate call routing no matter where you are.
