Timeline to Re-Open Assessment, Collection & Recorder of Deeds Offices

Recorder of Deeds is open to the public. Assessment & Collections will be open this week by appointment only. Online services such as tax payment and records search are functional. Check back next week for more information on full restoration of County services.

Truman Courthouse Closed Friday September 3 for Santa Cali Gon Days

Due to Santa-Cali-Gon Days festivities, the Historic Truman Courthouse at 112 W. Lexington, Independence, Missouri will be closed on Friday, September 3. However, the Jackson County Courthouse in Kansas City, Missouri at 415 E. 12th Street will be open that day during regular business hours. Both courthouses will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday Monday, September 6, 2021.
