Update from the CORE 4

This morning, staff and elected officials from the City of Kansas City Missouri, Jackson County, Missouri, Johnson County, Kansas and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas held a virtual discussion about the current state of COVID-19 in our region. This was one of the CORE 4’s regular bi-weekly meetings which are not typically attended by media or public. In this meeting, there was concern expressed for the level of COVID-19 transmissions in our communities and the health and safety of our residents. These neighboring jurisdictions shared input, concerns and initial reaction to the revised guidance issued by the CDC yesterday. The public and media can expect to receive updates from the individual jurisdictions in the coming days.
