The County Court and Sheriff’s Office have received multiple reports of scam calls and texts appearing to come from the DMV or even the court itself.

Independence, MO, -The Jackson County Truman Courthouse is closed today because the building does not have water due to a City of Independence Water Department issue.
Without water, the courthouse cannot safely operate.
All media inquiries regarding the water service issue should be directed to the City of Independence.
Jackson County will continue to share updates related to courthouse hours of operations as appropriate.
Taxpayers may continue to conduct business at the downtown courthouse or online at jacksongov.org.
