Jackson County's "Trip the Light Fantastic"Returns Sunday, November 23

Jackson County, MO, - Jackson County invites cycling enthusiasts, families, and holiday lovers to experience the 9th Annual “Trip the Light Fantastic” Bike Ride through Christmas in the Park on Sunday, November 23, at Longview Lake Park.

Riders will enjoy a 4.5-mile illuminated route showcasing more than 200 animated displays and over one million lights ahead of the park’s official opening later in the week.

• When: Sunday, Nov. 23

6:00 p.m. – Adult Ride

6:30 p.m. – Family Ride

• Where: Start + Finish at Frank White Jr. Sports Complex, 3901 SW Longview Rd., Lee’s Summit (Parking at Longview Community Center and MCC Longview)

• Cost: Free | No registration required

“This event shines a light on what makes Jackson County special — people coming together to celebrate the season, enjoy our parks, and share a little holiday joy,” said County Executive Phil LeVota. “It’s a beautiful way to kick off the holidays and preview Christmas in the Park.”

Cyclists are invited to decorate their bikes.

Safety: Lights and helmets required. Parental discretion advised for children under 10 due to dark and hilly sections.
