KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. has issued the following statement regarding County Administrator Troy Schulte:

“As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Troy Schulte, Jackson County Administrator, as he prepares to embark on a new chapter in his career.

“Over the past five years, Troy has been a dedicated leader and an invaluable member of my administration. Before joining Jackson County, he brought a wealth of experience from his time as City Manager of Kansas City, which equipped him to take on some of the most significant challenges facing our county.

“Under Troy’s leadership, Jackson County has made tremendous progress on critical initiatives. He played a key role in overseeing the county’s reassessment process, navigating a complex and essential undertaking with professionalism and integrity. He also successfully managed the planning and construction of our new detention facility, which is now under construction and scheduled to open in 2026.

“In addition to these public-facing accomplishments, Troy has been a trusted advisor behind the scenes, providing thoughtful counsel on a wide range of issues, including our current discussions with the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. His insights and leadership have been instrumental in shaping our strategies for the future.

“While we are sad to see Troy move on, we are incredibly grateful for his years of service and the positive impact he has had on Jackson County. On behalf of the entire county, I wish him all the best in this next phase of his career. Looking ahead, I will announce next steps regarding the posting and filling of the County Administrator position next week.

“Finally, as we enter this season of gratitude, I want to wish everyone a safe and joyful Thanksgiving. Let us take this time to reflect on our many blessings and the important work we do together for the people of Jackson County.”
