This initiative is designed to protect Jackson County residents from property fraud and unauthorized transactions involving their property records. Media are invited to attend.

Property fraud, often called "house stealing," is a growing issue across the country, where criminals file fake deeds, making it appear as if they own someone else's home. The Property Fraud Alert Program is a free service that will notify residents whenever a document is recorded with their personal information in Jackson County's records, providing an early warning of potential fraud.
Jackson County is committed to serving its residents by providing essential services, protecting the community and ensuring that property rights are safeguarded. The launch of the Property Fraud Alert program is part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and awareness.
