Jackson County Executive holds ceremonial signing for Jackson County Seniors Count

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr., along with 1st District At-Large County Legislator Jalen Anderson, 2nd District At-Large Legislator Donna Peyton, and a coalition of senior-serving agencies and non-profits, will host a ceremonial signing of the Jackson County Seniors Count ballot initiative.

The Jackson County Seniors Count initiative aims to support services that enable seniors to age in place. These services include home-delivered meals, senior centers and social activities, home safety repairs and transportation assistance.

Media are invited to attend, with parking available at the PACE KC parking lot or the neighboring Shoppes of Blue Parkway lot. After the event, there will be opportunities for media tours and video footage of the PACE KC facility, as well as interviews with seniors, coalition supporters and elected officials.
