Whether it is spending an afternoon on one of the lakes or the entire weekend in one of the campgrounds, Labor Day is the perfect time to explore Jackson County Parks + Rec.
With nearly 100 miles of trails to explore and 2,800 acres of water entertainment there is plenty to keep everyone busy in the great outdoors.
The Fred Arbanas golf course will be open for “a good walk spoiled” and interpreters at Missouri Town Living History Museum and Fort Osage National Historic Landmark will welcome visitors. Labor Day weekend is also the final weekend of the beach season at both Longview Lake Beach and Blue Springs Lake Beach.
