8 – 11 a.m: Open to previously scheduled appointments, seniors, & physically disabled individuals. 11 a.m. – 5 p.m: Open to scheduled appointments and walk-ins as time permits. Schedule an appointment through Qless or by coming into the office.

Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start to summer and at Jackson County Parks + Rec it also marks the opening of Blue Springs Lake and Longview Lake beaches.
The beaches open Saturday, May 25. Beaches are open on weekends and holidays 11 am – 7pm and weekdays 1-7 pm.
Along with the beaches, the holiday weekend is a great time to explore the nearly 22,000 acres of the county’s parks system. It features four outstanding lakes, three campgrounds, 160 miles of beautiful trails, one of the Kansas City area's finest public golf courses, and historic sites that date back to 1808.
