Jackson County Parks awarded by Lee's Summit Parks

Jackson County Parks + Rec was recently presented with the Outstanding Business Relationship Award by Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation during the organizations 11^th Annual Volunteer Gala.

Jackson County Parks + Rec was honored for its partnership with Lee’s Summit Parks. JCP+R neighbors the Longview Community Center, with Frank White Softball Complex, Longview Lake and Fred Arbanas Golf Course. With all these amenities surrounding Longview Community Center, Jackson County Parks + Rec is wonderful about keeping LSPR informed of special events and other important communications.

Jackson County Parks + Rec helps promote Lee’s Summit’s community centers by displaying postcards at Fred Arbanas Golf Course and in exchange LSPR shares its parking lot with them for the County’s Trip the Light Fantastic Bike Ride.

“Our departments have partnered to provide Customer Service Training as well as Our Special Population’s Division partners with Lee’s Summit providing Facilities for a number of our sports offerings,” said Michele Newman, Jackson County Parks + Rec Director.
