Executive Phil LeVota announces assessment relief plans for residents

County Executive Phil LeVota announced that Jackson County is in the process of correcting the 2023 residential property assessment roll (only the residential portion of mixed use, no agriculture, no commercial).

No homeowner will see an increase of more than 15% based on the State Tax Commission Order. For anyone who was assessed or paid more than that, the County will provide a tax credit, not a refund, over three years beginning in 2026.
