The summer is not quite over and Labor Day weekend is a perfect time to explore Jackson County Parks + Rec.

"With nearly 100 miles of trails to explore, 2,800 acres of water entertainment over four lakes, a championship golf course, and historic sites at Missouri Town 1855 and Fort Osage National Historic Landmark, we invite you to find your fun in our Jackson County Parks this Labor Day Weekend,” said Jackson County Parks + Rec Director Michele Newman.

Whether it is spending an afternoon on one of the lakes or the entire weekend in one of the campgrounds it is easy to practice social distancing in the county’s 21,000 acres of park land. County associates working at the marinas, historic sites and golf course are all wearing masks and working to keep everything clean for visitors.
