Celebrate 50 years of fall fun with Jackson County Parks + Rec and the 50th Annual Fall Festival of Arts, Crafts and Music.

For five decades, generations of families have welcomed fall at Missouri Town. This year, the historic village will once again come alive with more than 75 artisans and vendors, live music and dancing, historic demonstrations, children’s activities, wagon rides, festival food and the crowd-favorite “Organic Olympics” buffalo chip throwing competition.

“The Missouri Town Fall Festival has become a tradition for generations of Jackson County families, and celebrating 50 years makes this year especially meaningful,” said Jackson County Executive Phil LeVota. “It’s an opportunity to enjoy time together, experience our history and celebrate a tradition that continues to bring our community together.”

This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring:

  • 75+ artisans and vendors featuring handmade arts and crafts
  • Blacksmithing, woodworking, wood-fire cooking and other historic demonstrations
  • Live musicians, dancers, interpreters and storytellers
  • Children’s games, crafts, archery and pumpkin bowling
  • Tractor and wagon rides
  • The return of the “Organic Olympics”

This year’s festival is Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $15 per car/van and $25 per bus.

Missouri Town Living History Museum is located at 8010 East Park Rd., Lee’s Summit, Mo. 64064.
