About Our Court

In June 2008 Jackson County formed a County Municipal Court to adjudicate general County Ordinance violations. The court held its first session in July of 2008.

Rather than the 16th Circuit Court, the County Municipal Court considers all tickets for general County Ordinance violations posted June 1, 2008, or later. Municipal Court dockets are held on the first, second, third and fifth Wednesday of the month at the Eastern Jackson County Courthouse in the Jury Room (Room 157) on the 1st floor:

Eastern Jackson County Courthouse
308 W. Kansas Avenue
Independence, Missouri 64050

Violation Examples

Examples of general County Ordinance violations include food inspections, animal control, code enforcement, park citations issued by the respective enforcement department personnel, as well as traffic or other ordinance violations issued by the County Sheriff’s Department.

Search and Payments

Now you can search for your tickets by the number or name on the ticket. You can also make a payment for your tickets online using the Online Ticket Inquiry and Payment page.
