Jackson County Executive signs proclamation declaring today Kansas City Chiefs Day
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. today proudly signed a proclamation that permanently designates February 5, 2020 as “Kansas City Chiefs Day” in Jackson County, in honor of the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
“This is a historic achievement that deserves to be recognized and celebrated for years to come,” said Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. “The entire Chiefs organization has put in the work and determination to bring the Lombardi Trophy home to Chiefs Kingdom. The fans have supported their hometown team every step of the past 50 years to get to this moment. This is a special day in our community and Jackson County is excited to congratulate our Super Bowl Champions in every way possible. I look forward to seeing a sea of red at today’s parade.”
The Kansas City Chiefs have thrilled and excited fans in Jackson County since 1963. The team’s strong fan base has made Jackson County’s Arrowhead Stadium the best and loudest football stadium in the world since 1972.
Following his participation in the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade, the County Executive will announce today as “Kansas City Chiefs Day” in Jackson County at the rally.
