KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson County Parks + Rec invites you to step back in time and experience the simple pleasures of a mid-19th century Christmas when it presents “A Christmas Celebration” at Missouri Town 1855.

The village at Missouri Town 1855 will be decked out with greenery and decorations of the period to capture the holiday festivity of yesteryear. Visit with the town residents as they bake pies and cookies over an open hearth and prepare for Christmas. Live music and the sounds of carolers will fill the village streets, while visitors are served with a warm cup of hot spiced cider and friendship tea. The children will love visiting with “Belsnickel” and stringing popcorn. About Missouri Town 1855
Missouri Town 1855 is an authentic, antebellum farming community owned and operated by Jackson County Parks + Rec. It is comprised of more than 25 authentically-furnished buildings dating from the 1820s to 1860s on 30 picturesque acres in Lee’s Summit, MO, on the east side of Lake Jacomo in Fleming Park.
