KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. is announcing that the second public input meeting regarding the Jackson County Detention Center will take place on Tuesday, July 24. It was tentatively set for Monday, July 16.
Citizens are encouraged to attend to share their comments, concerns and suggestions for the future.

This meeting plays an important role in helping the Jail Task Force fulfill its mission to make recommendations related to the potential capacity and type of jail the Jackson County community needs and deserves.
Members of the Shive-Hattery/HDR consultant team will also be taking in the community’s feedback as a part of its work to conduct an analysis and feasibility study of Jackson County’s criminal justice system. The Shive-Hattery/HDR team is comprised of leading firms from coast-to-coast in the criminal justice system, including Urban Institute, Further the Work, Falcon Inc. and MJ Martin Inc.
