'Outstanding Kansas Citian'

Frank White thanks the City Council

Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. called receiving the Outstanding Kansas Citian Award from The Native Sons and Daughters of Greater Kansas City "humbling." The Kansas City Mayor Sly James and the City Council honored White this afternoon with a resolution recognizing him not only for that award, but also for "his numerous accomplishments."

"This is the community where I've spent nearly all of my life," White said in the City Hall council chamber, "and I couldn't be the person I am today without the support of so many good people." He stressed he intend to continue serving the community "for a long time going forward" as Jackson County Executive.
