KANSAS CITY, MO – During their annual food drive, Jackson County employees collected enough food and monetary donations to provide over 16,000 meals to the Harvesters Community Food Network.
County employees in all departments provided donations from January 17 – February 17. Over the last two years, county employees have provided over 37,000 pounds of food for Harvesters.
“This year’s food drive is yet another example of the dedicated and caring spirit of our county employees,” said County Executive Mike Sanders. “Because of their generosity, we will be able to assist those families and children in our community who are in need of a helping hand.”
