Pink Ribbon Roadshow

Jackson County, Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) and American Cancer Society have teamed up to Drive Breast Cancer to the Curb with the Pink Ribbon Road Show. The KCATA specialty pink-wrapped bus will be making Pit Stops with community partners throughout October to raise awareness and funds for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of KC; which helps local people fight breast cancer.

The Pink Ribbon Road Show kicked off at the Jackson County Courthouse with a solidarity walk. The walk is the first in a series of Pink Ribbon Road Show events in October that have been organized to “Drive Breast Cancer to the Curb” by Jackson County, KCATA, the City of Kansas City and the American Cancer Society.

From October 2-13, special Pit Stop Events will be held throughout the Kansas City region, leading up to the Making Strides of Kansas City Walk on Saturday, Oct. 28. Each stop features an array of specialty vendors, services and community partners who have joined together to raise awareness and funds for the non-profit event.
