Applicants 16 & 17 Years Old

Applicants 16 or 17 years of age may obtain a marriage license with the consent of their custodial parent or guardian. The custodial parent or guardian must be present to give consent at the time of the application and must present U.S. government-issued identification.

Applicants 16 or 17 years of age are prohibited from marrying any male or female 21 years of age or older.

Applicants 16 or 17 years of age shall provide proof of age in the form of a certified copy of the applicant's birth certificate, passport, or other U.S. government-issued identification. A valid driver's license is considered proper identification, as is a birth certificate, showing the parent's name.

Ages 15 or Under

Persons 15 years old and under cannot marry in the State of Missouri.
