Deloris Wells has been hired as the Deputy Director of Administration for the Jackson County Corrections Department.
Wells’ initial primary duties will be managing the facility’s budget, purchasing and finance operations as well as overseeing the Records Unit.
Before joining the Corrections Department she was the Assistant Director of the Jackson County Circuit Court Accounting and Fiscal Office. While with the Circuit Court she assisted in the overall management and maintenance of the Fiscal Office court financial records, personnel, and the development and implementation of internal controls, procedures, supervisory reviews, reconciliations, and financial reporting for financial transactions recorded on Civil, Criminal and Probate cases.
Wells has a Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Security from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Baker University.
