      Truman Courthouse Closed Friday, August 29
Due to Santa-Cali-Gon Days festivities, the Historic Truman Courthouse at 112 W. Lexington, Independence, Missouri will be closed on Friday, August 29, 2014. However, the Recorder of Deeds offices in the Jackson County Courthouse in Kansas City, Missouri at 415 E. 12th Street will be open that day during regular business hours.

Beginning in January 2014, some new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rules will provide homeowners and consumers shopping for a home mortgage with new rights and greater protection from harmful practices.
