The Archery Range serves as host site for several tournaments including the National Field Archery Outdoor Tournament. The Archery Range is open to the public 8:00 a.m. to sunset from mid April through October. Daily and annual permits are available.
Location: Kenneth Road
Jackson County Parks + Rec's Polo Field equals nine football fields in size with lush green grass manicured like a golf course. This field is the host site for several soccer competitions each year, as well as benefit polo events for charitable organizations. From Kansas City take I-70 east to the I-435 exit; travel south to the Grandview exit (Highway 71); continue south on Highway 71 to 150 Highway exit; after exiting, turn west to Holmes Road; turn south on Holmes Road and go approximately 3/4 of a mile to Kenneth Road and turn right; follow Kenneth Road until you see the fields on your right.

For the radio controlled airplane enthusiast, Jackson County Parks + Rec offers three radio controlled airfields. Fleming Park boasts a paved airstrip while Longview Lake Park and Blue River Parkway offer grass airstrips. R. C. Airfields are open year round, weather permitting. Hours are posted for each field. All airfields are open to the public and supported by local radio controlled flying clubs. Daily and annual permits are available.
For the radio controlled boating enthusiast, Alex George Lake is open to R. C. Boating from May through October. Daily and annual permits are available.
