Meth Lab Shut Down
DECEMBER 10, 2010 -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit joined with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Kansas City Police Department in shutting down a methamphetamine lab this morning.
Officers from the three law enforcement agencies served a search warrant at a residence in the 2600 block of Garfield in Kansas City around 9:00 a.m. today and discovered the active meth lab. They also recoverd $3,000 in United States currency, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Two people were taken into custody and transported to the Jackson County Detention Center, pending further investigation. The search warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing investigation.
