MARRIAGE LICENSES
Courthouse Weddings

Wedding ceremonies are conducted at the Jackson County Courthouse at 415 E. 12th Street in Kansas City every Friday (excluding holidays) from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The ceremonies are performed in the Legislative Chambers on the Courthouse's second floor.

Couples should obtain a Missouri Marriage License prior to their wedding ceremony.

Ceremonies in Independence

Wedding ceremonies are also performed Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings -- by appointment only and excluding holidays -- at the Truman Memorial Building at 416 W. Maple Avenue in Independence. Call Clergy Services at (816) 753-3886 for more information about ceremonies in Independence.

Local ministers perform the marriage ceremonies at theTruman Memorial Building.
