In an effort to better serve the public we have placed all our Marriage Licenses on-line dating back to the beginning of Jackson County in 1826. Please remember the following when conducting a search of Marriage records:
1) Marriage Licenses maintained in our electronic database reflect only licenses of couples who applied for their license in Jackson County. Couples who applied for a Marriage License in another Missouri county will need to contact the Recorder of Deeds or Circuit Clerk’s office in that County. If you do not recall the name of the County where you applied for your license another search source may be the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, Vital Statistics at either:
(573) 751-6400 or http://www.dhss.mo.gov/BirthAndDeathRecords/index.html
2) It is recommended to only enter the bride and groom’s last names to expedite your search. Enter the last name of both parties based on names listed on identification that would have been presented at the time of application. By clicking below you will be directed to our Marriage Records Search Criteria page. Other common search options include searching solely by the license number (if known) and leaving all other fields blank or searching a specific date range.
