we do without you! We count on partners like you to make this beautiful travel destination
the third largest park system in the nation. Event opportunities include:

4th of July Appreciation Celebration - July 4, 2012

Jackson County residents made bringing Major League Baseball’s 2012 All-Star Game to Kansas City possible through supporting renovations to Kauffman Stadium. This Appreciation Celebration is all about saying, “THANK YOU!”
Live music, a salute to our veterans, and Kansas City Royals alumni lead up to a spectacular fireworks display at this free event at Longview Lake Beach.

Missouri Town 1855 is composed of more than 25 buildings dating from 1820 to 1860. This living history museum uses original structures, furnishings and equipment. Also depicting
the 19th century lifestyle are interpreters in period attire, authentic field and garden crops, and rare livestock breeds.

Fort Osage National Historic Landmark

Fort Osage was established in 1808 by William Clark and served as both a military and civilian outpost on the American frontier. During its brief twenty year occupation, it played a pivotal role in early frontier exploration. It was designated a National Historic

Authentically attired interpreters provide living-history insights into the daily life of both the military and civilian populations.

Sponsorships are available for special events beginning at $100. Categories range from
sponsoring a single exhibit, performer, or interpretive activity through underwriting of the entire event.
