Medical Examiner Volunteer & Internship Application (PDF)
The Office of the Medical Examiner is currently not accepting any applications for volunteer positions.
All volunteer positions are approved at the discretion of the Chief Medical Examiner. There are opportunities to assist in the morgue and in the administrative area. Volunteer opportunities are restricted to those individuals interested in advancing their academic and professional careers in forensic pathology and its allied fields. Preference will be given to those with relevant previous experience. This experience can include work in the biological sciences, healthcare, mortuary science or criminal justice.
Students wishing to attain experience in the medical field need prior approval to volunteer. All students must be over 18 years old and it is preferred that the experience be part of a college program. Structured internships and research projects will be considered.
