The Jackson County Health Department is offering the H1N1 vaccine to Eastern Jackson County residents based on the following priority groups established by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC):

• Pregnant women
• People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age (parents, siblings and daycare providers)
• Health care workers who provide direct patient care
• Children 6 months through 4 years of age
• Children 5-18 years of age who have chronic medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.

Due to the current limited availability of injectable vaccine, the CDC strongly recommends all individuals that fit the following criteria receive the FluMist: 2-49 years of age, healthy and NOT pregnant.

For ALL others in the priority groups listed above a limited supply of the injectable vaccine is available.

* Clinic hours may be modified based on vaccine availability.
