Jackson County Parks & Recreation invites your entire family to participate in the region’s oldest annual Fall events. The antebellum architecture of Missouri Town 1855 provides a perfect setting for a fun filled day! Skilled interpreters will be demonstrating how a small mid 19th century community would be spending an autumn’s day. The smell of wood fires fills the village as musicians and dancers perform. A special children’s game and craft area offers fun for all the kids. A large food court offers all of the favorite festival foods. New this year is a special demonstration of how sorghum is made, from cutting and pressing the cane to boiling of the sap. The entire family can witness this annual rite of Fall! No Pets Allowed.
