The turbulent times of the early 1860s come vividly to life as Missouri Town becomes the site of the pro and anti-slavery conflict. Based on accurate research, the antebellum architecture of Missouri Town provides the perfect backdrop for this powerful re-enactment. As the Civil War approaches, families and friends were often pitted against each other in an effort to assert their beliefs with bloodshed the far too common result. As our nation begins the commemoration of the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War, Thunder on the Border provides a fascinating glimpse of our past.
