COMBAT to Unveil New Anti-Drug Billboards
December 28, 2011 (KANSAS CITY, MO) – Today, the Jackson County Community Backed Anti-Drug Tax (COMBAT) is introducing five anti-drug billboards along major highway arteries throughout Jackson County. The billboards will be on display for six months, with two signs rotating to different locations each month.
The billboards are scheduled to be up late Wednesday afternoon and will be displayed in the following locations:
- Southwest Trafficway at Westport Road
- Highway 71 at 16th Street
- Interstate 70 at Benton Boulevard
- Interstate 470 at Colbern Road
- Interstate 70 at I-435 Interchange
The advertising campaign is a part of a commitment made by COMBAT to create awareness and educate residents about the dangers of drug use. Each billboard will spotlight harmful side effects caused by drugs found on the streets of Jackson County.
The billboards will also highlight COMBAT’s new website, www.combatjack.org. Citizens are encouraged to visit the website for useful information about drug and violence prevention, treatment, and law enforcement.
