County Courthouses Display Flags
in Honor of Veteran’s Day

November 10, 2011 (KANSAS CITY, MO) – In order to tribute those who have served in our Armed Forces, Jackson County adorned the front of the county courthouse in downtown Kansas City, Missouri with a multitude of American flags. Additional flags have been erected at the county courthouse annex in Independence, Missouri.

“Veteran’s Day is a time to honor all of those who have valiantly defended the freedom and ideals of America all across the world,” said County Executive Mike Sanders. “The dedication and sacrifice of these brave men and women deserves our respect and admiration.”

The flags will be displayed at both courthouses all weekend.
