To Be Closed Wednesday

 County Executive Also Declares State of Emergency

February 1, 2011 (KANSAS CITY, MO) – Due to inclement weather, Jackson County offices will be closed on Wednesday, February 02, 2011. 

Additionally, County Executive Mike Sanders has declared a state of emergency due to the winter storm. This declaration allows municipalities within the county and the county access to resources to help with costs associated with the storm.

The Eastern Jackson County Emergency Operations Center has been fully activated since noon on Monday, January 31 and will remain active until all threats from the weather event have passed. 

County offices are expected to re-open for business at 8 A.M. on Thursday, February 3.
