August 15, 2008 (KANSAS CITY, MO) – Members of the public are invited to voice their comments and ask questions regarding the improvements scheduled to take place at the intersection of Lee’s Summit Road and Gregory Boulevard/Little Blue Road at an open house-style meeting to be held August 21, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The forum will take place at the Oakwood Baptist Church located at 7600 Lee’s Summit Road in Kansas City, Missouri.

This Kansas City intersection construction project is being managed by Jackson County at the City’s request. The project will be paid for with County Urban Road System (CURS) funds. Representatives from Jackson County, Kansas City and TranSystems Engineering will be displaying preliminary plans and answering questions.

This project is scheduled to be bid late this year and road construction is scheduled to start in early 2009.  Plans call for the road to be closed for portions of the eight months estimated for construction.
