County Legislators To Tour
'Truman Courthouse' In Independence

February 8, 2008 (KANSAS CITY, MO) – Jackson County Legislators will be touring the historic Jackson County Truman Courthouse on the square in Independence, Monday, February 11. The tour is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m., following the conclusion of the regular legislative meeting at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex in Independence. That meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m.

The tour is intended to give legislators a first-hand look at the need for restoration efforts at the Jackson County Truman Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places of National Significance.
