During renovations play will continue
at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course this summer

June 2, 2008 (KANSAS CITY, MO) – Although renovation work on the greens at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course are beginning today, players can still tee it up at the public course, which Jackson County Parks & Recreation operates at Longview Lake. While the greens on the 18-hole championship course are being redone, much of the facility is remaining open, including:

• The nine-hole par 3 course
• The driving range
• The chipping green with two sand bars
• The Pro Shop
• The snack bar

Renovations are only being done on the 18-hole championship course and putting green. Improvements will concentrate on a 20-yard circumference around each hole, with new greens and bunkers as well as a new irrigation system. The $1.333 million project, subject to weather conditions, is slated for completion in late spring of 2009.
