Where To Go For Help   |  Hospitals   |  Community Mental Health Agenices

Mental illness affects over 30,000 Jackson County citizens of every age, race, religion and income. Mental disorders are the leading cause of lost productivity in America. Treatment of serious mental illness is effective.

Jackson County has a Community Mental Health Levy, which is overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Levy generates about $11 million annually for indigent mental healthcare. The Board of Trustees has high standards for accountability. Funding is competitive and performance-based.

Jackson County government, our community partners and elected leaders are working hard to help assure that our safety net of mental healthcare will be there for those who need it. For more information about the Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund, visit www.jacksoncountycares.org.
