On July 25, 2001, the Jackson County Purchasing Department moved its purchasing activities to the Internet. We have implemented Sicomm's web-hosted solution which features a secure bid and response system. Potential Bidders profile their company, view and respond to bidding opportunities, and see bid results all online! All that is required is access to the Internet and a current web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or Netscape 7.1). These browsers may be downloaded free of charge on either the Microsoft or Netscape website. How much will it cost? There is no charge to register and profile your company, search for bidding opportunities and bid online. Only in the event you are the successful awarded vendor in an electronic bid situation will a one percent (1%) transaction fee apply. How do I sign up?
