Spend the 4th of July with the civilians and military of 1812 as they celebrate the 36th anniversary of our independence. Highlights of the day's activities include the firing of the cannons, muskets and military drills.

Jackson County Parks and Recreation is proud to welcome the best Girls Fastpitch Softball Teams from across the nation to compete in the USSSA GIRLS 2008 FASTPITCH WORLD SERIES. During the final week of July, up to 100 teams will be vying for the top spot in the world of girls fastpitch softball.
