The purpose of this web application is to facilitate public comment on a draft of an ordinance that will, in its final form, become part of the county code of Jackson County. All Jackson County residents are encouraged to participate in this "Public Comments" phase. This document, is divided into multiple sections. Public comment is being sought for individual sections and for the whole document in general. A user may provide a comment for one or more sections and for the entire document.
Visitors are not required to create a user account to view this document, but a user account is required to submit a comment. In order to provide an association between the multiple comments, a "User Account" is required and created for each user. A user account consists of simple name and contact information.
To provide comments on this document users must create a user account, and "Sign-In" to the comments area using a unique sign-in. The minimum information that is required for creating a user account is:
Last Name,
First Name,
Email address or a Phone Number,
Zip Code.
Additionally users may provide a mailing address as a part of their user account information, but this is not required to create an account.
A user account can contain both an e-mail address and a phone number, but one or the other is required.
To provide comments, user's will sign in to their account by providing their e-mail address, or their phone number.
On the User Account form users can indicate whether or not they wish to be contacted by the Ethics Commission. The Ethics Commission will not contact any user who has indicated that they do not wish to be contacted. Information provided for the user account will be maintained internally.
