Mary H. Dudley, M.D. The Jackson County Medical Examiner receives notification of all deaths in the County due to: - homicidal, suicidal or accidental violence;
- chemical, electrical or thermal injury;
- criminal abortion;
- contagious disease;
- or when any person dies suddenly, while in apparently good health, while unattended by a doctor, while in police custody or in jail, or under any unusual or suspicious circumstances.
The Office of the Jackson County Medical Examiner received accreditation by the National Association of Medical Examiners in May of 1999 and February of 2004. The office is now accredited through the year 2009. Jackson County Courthouse
